ICE Electrical is a trusted commercial and industrial electrical company operating across the North Island of New Zealand. With a strong people first culture and a reputation for delivering high quality industrial solutions, we are seeking an experienced Industrial Shift Electrician to join our team in New Plymouth, Taranaki.

This position operates on a consistent four on, four off rotating roster of two-day shifts followed by two-night shifts, then four consecutive days off. The structured pattern provides predictable downtime, clear work cycles and the ability to properly plan your time away from work, while maintaining competitive earnings within a professional industrial environment.

The Role

Working within an established industrial environment, this role is integral to maintaining plant reliability and consistent electrical performance across both day and night shifts. The position supports production operations through effective maintenance practices, timely fault response and proactive preventative work to minimise downtime and maintain operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities include:

• Installing, maintaining and repairing electrical systems and equipment

• Reading and interpreting electrical schematics, drawings and technical documentation

• Fault finding, diagnosing and resolving electrical issues efficiently

• Ensuring all work complies with relevant safety standards, company procedures and electrical regulations

• Working collaboratively with supervisors, operators and other trades to deliver safe and efficient outcomes
